Protest Hysteria, Jesus, Where's the Debate?

The recent protests in response to the proposed tough immigration measures being debated in the Senate should not be surprising given the organizing abilities of pro-illegal immigration groups. The majority of Americans believe that crossing into this country is illegal. Furthermore, the majority of Americans believe that laws should be followed. Somewhere in this debate, common sense has exited the stage and we are now left with flavor-of-the-month politicians comparing a responsible immigration policy to persecuting Jesus Christ.
The dilemma facing our country today is that there is no easy way out. We have an economy that is dependent upon cheap, unskilled labor (undocumented workers). We have permitted this inflow of illegal immigrants to go on for so long that we have entire communities that could be become “fugitive” enclaves if these measures are enforced.
Without an immediate change to our legal immigration system, enabling a near doubling of legal immigrants to enter our country annually, we risk sever economic consequences if illegal immigration were to stop tomorrow. A sudden cut-off of fresh labor (undocumented workers) and its consequences to the average American are something no one is discussing.
Illegal immigration is wrong, it must be stopped and those crossing our borders illegally should be prosecuted and deported. As we go about solving this problem, we must accept an honest and open debate about the total impact of our past sins, and the effects of such tough medicine as being proposed in the Senate. America wants illegal immigration to be controlled. The question is, do we know how our lives will be impacted if and when are borders are secured?

For all those religious enablers of the illegal alien lobby, I ask but one question. Do you know what Romans 13 says about this?

For all the Chicken Littles out there yelling 'The economy will fall' I say this. Removing this imported SCAB labor will increase incomes for the working poor Americans who have ALWAYS done these jobs in the past, allowing them their DESERVED chance at this American Dream.

The only people wanting to double LEGAL immigration are the cheap labor whores of Big Business, who through their criminal actions in hiring those not legally in this country, have shown their ONLY allegiance is to the bottom line, citizens be damned.

The Senate has proposed NO 'tough medicine', they've simply rolled over and given them 'amnesty'. Even HR4437 allows almost a million new immigrants yearly over the next 10 years. That doesn't qualify as 'tough medicine' either.

I think American tradesmen will be able to support their families again, as businesses begin to pay a livable wage to the native workforce. I think some lawns may go uncut, some bratty kids might miss their nanny, some soccer mom's might have to clean their own houses and some teenagers might actually be able to get summer jobs.

That's what I think.

I have to say, "dissappointed that you instantly side with the illegal aliens, and buy into the false arguments of King George in this GREAT DEBATE.

Let's talk about the costs to our own lower and middle class workers that seem to be pushed to the side in a rush to pass legislation that is aimed at one thing, and one thing only...PROVIDING BIG BUSINESS a CHEAP LABOR POOL.

Illegal aliens on a yearly basis depress wages in America by over 200 BILLION dollars, and the wages depressed are those of our hardest working, and poorest citizens. The pretend president would have the world believe illegal aliens only take jobs we Americans do not want, and that is a BOLD FACED LIE.

I'm a landscaper, and cannot compete with the wage scale that the illegal aliens have brought to the industry. Many friends of mine, small scale contractors are out of business, or struggling to hang on because they cannot compete with these illegal aliens wage structure.

The meat packing industry used to be predominently a field in American that used American employees...now, most meat packers deny they ITENTIONALLY hire illegals, yet they do, and 80 percent of the work force in that industry is now illegals or Green Card holders and the wage base has dropped from over $12.00 and hour down to under eight. Perdue Chicken actually CLOSED one of its plants in Georgetown so that their employees could take part in the protest held in Washington, DC. I truly hope that INS was at that plant the next day checking ID's.

The African American community as a result of this illegal flood of aliens stealing our jobs has seen their wage base lowered by almost 9 percent, and it is even worse for young blacks who's wages have been cut by some 12 percent.

It used to be, that our children could find jobs at places like Mc Donald's, it was there FIRST JOB, put them on the path to adulthood, but now because of illegal aliens taking those jobs, our teenage work force has suffered a 30 percent decline in their ability to find part time jobs.

If we are going to have a debate in the SENATE, then lets have a FULL AND HONEST DEBATE, instead of letting some illegal aliens marching in OUR streets intimadate us into committing national suicide of the American Way.
